Art Along the Trail

Clive Public Arts Advisory Commission is issuing a call to artists for its second annual “Art Along the Trail” exhibit, which will feature six works of art along Clive’s Greenbelt Trail. Each artist selected to be a part of the exhibit–which will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day–will receive a $1,000 stipend. At the end of the exhibit, the city will purchase one of the pieces for its public art collection. This year, “Paths Unite” by James Anthony Bearden of Des Moines was chosen. Application deadline is Jan. 4, 2013. If you have questions, contact assistant city manger Matt McQuillen at 223-6220 or mmcquillen@cityofclive.com.
