Holidays at Hoyt

Hoyt Sherman Place is providing plenty of ways to enjoy, and express, the holiday spirit. During two seasonal productions–“Away in the Basement: A Church Basement Ladies Christmas” and “Miracle on 34th Street The Musical”–Hoyt Sherman will help raise donations for Central Iowa Shelter and Services. You’re encouraged to donate a personal item, such as a razor or comb, when you purchase your tickets at the Hoyt Sherman Place box office. When you do, you’ll receive a $3 discount per ticket for either show.

“Away in the Basement,” a musical comedy set in 1959 on the day of a Sunday School Christmas program, will be Dec. 19-20 (times vary). The popular holiday favorite “Miracle on 34th Street The Musical” will be 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22. For more information, visit www.hoytsherman.org.
