Pop-up Shop

Locally Grown Clothing Co. has opened a limited-time “pop-up” store in the Shops at Roosevelt at 847 42nd St. The shop will operate until early fall; hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Originally established in 2008 as a business at the Des Moines Farmers Market, Locally Grown today sells its clothing and accessories at more than 200 retail outlets in 33 states. The company describes its eco-friendly clothing as a “message-driven lifestyle brand” that gives consumers a way to express support for their community, local agriculture and the environment. “Locally Grown captures the voice of a movement that embraces the rise of organic products and the renaissance of supporting local,” owner Fred Scott says.

In addition to clothing, the pop-up store sells sunglasses, tote bags and other items.
