Midwest Pressed

What do zombies, kittens and money have in common? They are all part of “Midwest Pressed: Recent Works by Tim Dooley and Aaron Wilson,” an exhibit at the Des Moines Art Center. Iowa artists and educators Dooley and Wilson layer vibrant color and images in their screen prints, focusing on cliches from pop culture. The works are displayed from floor to ceiling in grid-like formations. Dooley and Wilson will lead an informal talk about their work Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The exhibit, the third in a series of Iowa Artists 2013 projects, runs through Oct. 13.
