Homeward Bound

Your house may be your home, your refuge, your castle. Or not. For a new exhibit called “Why Houses Matter,” five local artists explore themes related to the title. Works by Holly Wist, Julia Franklin, Tiffany Sinnott, Tatiana Klusak and Ramona Muse include drawings, paintings, sculptures and collected objects. Curated by Rachel Buse, the free show is at Hillyard Des Moines, 4267 109th St. in Urbandale. It continues through Oct. 4.
