By Belle Du Chene

Help people learn to read at the Adult Literacy Center (ALC) at Drake University. The ALC, which has an ongoing need for volunteers, will hold training sessions Sept. 19-20 at the ALC (3206 University Ave.) or in area libraries. Tutors have flexible hours, Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you can commit to one to two hours per week for a minimum commitment of one year, contact Anne Muur at anne.murr@drake.edu or 271-3982.
