Main Attraction: The Principal Financial Group executives and Des Moines Performing Arts’ staff and board members gathered together to officially dedicate the Nollen Lobby, located on the west side of the Des Moines Civic Center. The lobby was renamed “Nollen Lobby” in recognition of Gerard and Henry Nollen’s significant contributions to the growth and development of the Greater Des Moines community as an influential financial center and world-class cultural destination.
Unique Touch: Special guests included members of the Nollen family (Carl & Ramona Nollen; Joan Tyler), who helped Des Moines Performing Arts President and CEO Jeff Chelesvig and The Principal Financial Group’s Chairman, President and CEO Larry Zimpleman, “cut the ribbon” during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
