Fifth annual Chips for Scholarships

Non-profit: AIB College of Business

Date: Saturday, Aug. 23

Venue: West Glen home of George Cataldo

Main Attraction: More than 125 guests sampled hors d’oeuvres from Baratta’s restaurant, enjoyed live jazz music from Des Moines-area musician Mikiel Williams and gambled – with play money, of course – to win prizes at Las Vegas-style games, including Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. Co-chairs of the event were Maria Davis and Yolanda Chrystal.

Bottom Line: More than $56,000 was raised to benefit AIB’s Student Scholarship Program.

Photography: Cassandra Mosher and Kris Mattoon
