Main Attraction: The Des Moines Heart Ball brought together more than 750 influential leaders from the corporate, philanthropic and medical communities to raise funds and celebrate the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association. The evening’s formal cocktail festivities included a cocktail reception with live music from Chad Elliott, silent and live auctions, dinner, awards, and the Pulse After Party with dancing and live music from Standing Hampton.
Bottom Line: The 2015 event raised nearly $300,000 to support local research, education and advocacy efforts aimed at improving Iowans’ heart health.
