Codye Lazear

Age: 30

Profession: Private event coordinator and assistant manager at Exile Brewing Co.

How would you describe your style? Vintage and eccentric. When I’m shopping, I buy clothing and accessories that aesthetically excite me. After moving to Seoul, South Korea, in 2011, my style was influenced by the city and culture around me. My daily outfit became an important expression of my personality and interests.

The part of your style you’re known for: Color combinations, odd retro vibes, Korean things and a lot of flowers.

The piece of clothing or accessory you couldn’t live without: A light, airy skirt with the perfect texture for summer and a vintage fur coat for winter. I could probably live without five rings on my fingers, but I wouldn’t want to.

Your style icon: Debbie Harry.

Hobbies or passions: Singing, dancing, crafting and thrifting. I’ve recently started learning guitar, and that›s been great. It’s a special feeling to just stop what you’re doing to play and sing a little music. I also enjoy hanging out with my dog, Shinji. #Dogmomforlife.

Favorite things to do in Des Moines: Des Moines has definitely changed since I’ve moved back, but I still find myself doing things I did while growing up here: going to shows with my buds and spending quality time with the people I love.
