Q: Tell us about your business.
A: Yoga & Co. was founded in 2019 by Lindsay Bordwell to bring diversity, accessibility and fun to the yoga community in Des Moines! Being one of the few Indigenous Yogis in her community, she is on a mission to change yoga in the Midwest. We create events, markets and classes you can’t find anywhere else. Sustainability of our Earth has the utmost importance and is reflected in all areas of our studio and events.
Q: What makes your business special?
A: The studio offers sound healing, retreats around the world, one-of-a-kind events and yoga teacher training. You can find classes and events beyond the mat where you can join a yoga hike or kayaking adventure! Lindsay has been the Lululemon Yoga Ambassador since 2022 and one of the first Brand Ambassadors for Climbing Kites. You can always find the studio partnering with other local artists and creators to bring you an amazing experience.
Q: How does your business contribute to the community?
A: Yoga & Co. is continuously finding creative ways to support nonprofits and causes in our community. Lindsay is also working on bringing scholarships offered to BIPOC & LGBQT+ communities to receive their yoga trainings and attend retreats, with intention to create the change of inclusivity the industry desperately needs.
