Main Attraction: A distinguished night of gourmet food and elegant wine was held on Sunday, April 7th at the beautiful Embassy Club in downtown Des Moines. The Culinary Affair, held by the Iowa Restaurant Association, showcased a seven course meal from a variety of local chefs and matched perfectly with a complementing wine. Throughout the night, a silent auction was held to raise money for the Iowa Restaurant Association’s Education Foundation. The education foundation exists to create and promote awareness of hospitality as a professional career path for young adults, and to strengthen the educational offerings, opportunities and services for the advancement of the restaurant and beverage industries in the state of Iowa.
