Main Attraction: Awards presented to five immigrants and refugees, with cultural entertainment and foods representing their native countries.

Bottom Line: Sponsorships and ticket sales help the Iowa International Center build cultural respect and understanding in Iowa, and provide resources to refugees, immigrants and international visitors.

Unique Touch: Capital City Fruit, Zion Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church of Hope sponsored unique centerpieces of food provisions, which were later distributed to needy families.

Food: Vietnam, Ghana, Sudan, Bosnia and El Salvador were represented.
