“Thinker in Snow” by Des Moines freelance photographer Mike Hiatt. “It was the first big blizzard of the year [in 2015] so instead of staying indoors, I took a walk around downtown,” Hiatt recalls. “I’ve shot ‘Thinker on a Rock’ by Barry Flanagan many times, but I liked the feeling of this lone rabbit, who, like me, wasn’t about to come in from the storm.” Hiatt specializes in black and white environmental, urban and documentary photography.
