Ross Vogel and Kennedy Elliott married at St. Ambrose Cathedral last fall on a day, Kennedy says, “some sports fans may remember as the Iowa vs. Iowa State game,” when lightning and a hailstorm twice delayed the game. “Luckily for us, though, we only had a few sprinkles downtown during the ceremony, just enough for good luck, as they say.” The reception was held nearby, at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates. “Just a year earlier we were engaged in the gardens,” Kennedy says, “and we knew it would be the perfect place to commemorate the start of our marriage.”
