The new Greenbelt Music Festival pumps up the jam this Friday and Saturday, in and around the Horizon Event Center at 2100 N.W. 100th St. in Clive. Expect a mix of local and national acts performing on indoor and outdoor stages, plenty to eat and drink, and some games.

Headliners for the event are country star Jameson Rodgers (of “Cold Beer Calling My Name” fame) and the progressive bluegrass band known as the Infamous Stringdusters. There will be plenty of other musicians, plus a few “unofficial” headliners pulling focus: the beloved goats that graze along the Clive Greenbelt Trail. Ticket holders can participate in a bags tournament and free-throw contest, play laser tag and ride a mechanical bull.

Bonus: Organizers are donating $5 from every ticket sale to the Clive Community Foundation’s Greenbelt Landing Project on the trail.
