Q: What do you love most about Greater Des Moines?
A: Brant: We love the locally owned shops, restaurants and festivals throughout the year. We enjoy the bike trails, the ballpark or one of the many food trucks that are right outside your front door. Des Moines has a small-city feel with all the amenities of a larger metro area.
Q: What are some guiding principles you’ve used in your career?
A: Jazlin: We pride ourselves on having the highest customer service and providing top-notch products at fair prices. We strive to improve our processes and increase our product offerings to meet the ever-changing needs of our customer base.
Q: Who do you consider a mentor and why?
A: Jon: My grandfather, Jeff Barber. He recognized my potential for management and leadership. He taught me about business and the food service industry. Everything from product quality and customer service to continuous improvement. I owe it all to him for getting me started at Brewer and continuing to serve the Greater Des Moines area.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Who inspires you?
A: Jaycie: “You never look good trying to make someone else look bad.” This is advice that we follow daily. While there is competition, we pride ourselves on doing the best we can every day for our customers and employees and let our reputation speak for itself.
