The Queen of Hearts visited Capital City Pride’s “Alice in Wonderland” gala in April.
Welcome to Wonderland! That was the theme for Capital City Pride’s annual Pride Gala and Awards on March 14 at Prairie Meadows. Guests entered into a world of whimsy inspired by “Alice in Wonderland,” with croquet, tea-party cocktails and live performances of music, magic, cirque acrobatics and drag. The gala also celebrated the 2026 Pride Award honorees: First Friday Breakfast Club, Dungeon’s Gate, and Feed Des Moines co-founder Amber Lynch. Photos: Invictus Media
