Ever wonder how food gets into the hands of Iowans in need? The state has six regional food banks affiliated with Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 organizations serving more than 46 million people. These banks work closely with local pantries, schools, shelters and other groups to deliver food into communities big and small. The Iowa Food Bank Association oversees this network, ensuring food banks work together across the state.
