Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: A positive, go-getter, problem solver, reliable, loves a challenge, determined, willpower, honest, always do what I say I would do, good with numbers and business, successful, protective, loyal, charismatic and fun. Passionate, energetic, adventurer, friendly, strong personality. Confident.
Q: How did you get started in your career?
A: I come from a family with an agricultural background, so I developed a passion for business and numbers at a young age. I studied Farm Administration and while working in the industry, the opportunity to develop the meat business in the U.S. was presented to me and I accepted. I loved the challenge.
Q: What are some guiding principles you’ve used in your career?
A: Never give up, never be afraid to catch a big fish. Crossing that obstacle will feel great and feel easier. Make smart decisions. Work hard, be persistent, be in front of your customers and show vulnerability. Be honest. Have clear communication. Be straightforward and go with the truth. Ask for help, listen to other’s opinion but always follow your gut!
Q: Who do you consider a mentor and why?
A: My father and my husband, they’ve shown me work ethic, power, dedication and persistence. From them, I learned about guidance, knowledge, strength and having lots of passion for what you do. They taught me to be humble and the best person you can be in business and community.
