Q: What do you love most about Greater Des Moines?
A: The Greater Des Moines area feels both vibrant and calm at the same time. I love that about it. As we continue to grow, we do so while maintaining our Midwest values. I view the metro as a destination location with awesome people.

Q: How did you get started in your career?
A: I was fortunate to grow up in a small-town construction family, learning all aspects of building a house and working hard. The construction knowledge directed my path and opened up doors.

Q: What are some guiding principles you’ve used in your career?
A: Work hard. Don’t pretend to be the smartest person in the room. Listen. Learn. Strive for excellence, regardless of the task. Be humble. Be thankful. Mix in some humor.

Q: Who do you consider a mentor and why?
A: My Dad is amazing. His values and ethics are off the charts. His selflessness and giving nature have impacted so many.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter your field?
A: It’s a great time to start a career in the construction industry. There is so much opportunity to achieve great results and make a difference in your community.
