Q&A with Todd Rhoades, Director of Development

Todd Rhoades

Q: What professional or personal accomplishments are most meaningful to you?
A: During the pandemic, I built community through virtual movement classes, focusing on the senior population. These sessions created connection and belonging, offered a way to check in on those living alone, encouraged physical activity and celebrated each person’s progress—reminding us all of the power of movement in uncertain times.

Q: What are the personal values that drive you?
A: Authenticity, trust, respect, teamwork

Q: Who inspired you along the way and why?
A: I can’t name just one person—I’m constantly inspired by the people I meet and the stories I come across. Whether it’s someone fighting for the environment, creating art or advocating for change, their passion fuels mine. The more curious I am, the more incredible people I find along the way and the more I learn about life.

Q: What advice would you give to others starting in your industry?
A: We must learn from each other and respect each other. We collect experiences to help us navigate the world and connect—whether becoming a dancer, a choreographer or working in development. No one lives in a silo. Networking and relationship-building are how we create beautiful things and make change in the world.
