Local love: Byron Lewis and Molly Duncan

Byron Lewis and Molly Duncan tied the knot on May 31, 2024, at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. The couple celebrated with family and close friends from all over the country, from Washington state to Florida, and D.C. to Puerto Rico.

It was a whole family affair. The bride wore a gown made by her son, Jaeger Duncan Nesbit, and walked down the aisle to a serenade by her sister. Her sister-in-law arranged all the flowers for the event, and the couple’s nephew officiated the ceremony.

“Des Moines truly charmed the traveling group,” Molly said. “Many of them met for the first time at the wedding. The experience was a true gift as we witnessed the ease with which our families came together and embraced our commonalities.”
