Former coworkers Jon Miller and Jody Gifford, who is now one of our contributing writers, were married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and immediate family on Jan. 11 at Vows DSM in the East Village.
The couple first met in 1994 when they both worked for our parent company, Business Publications Corp. After years of living parallel lives, their paths finally crossed again on Bumble in the summer of 2018.
Several factors, including the pandemic, delayed their wedding plans, and neither person wanted a big to-do. Among just 32 of their closest friends and family, Jody and Jon exchanged deeply personal vows in a ceremony officiated by Jon’s best friend, Steve Andersen, who’s known the couple since their days at BPC.
