Chef Chat: Q&A at Harbinger

Chef Joe Tripp has a few things to do before opening Harbinger on Ingersoll Avenue in April.

dsm food writer Wini Moranville sat down recently with innovative chef Joe Tripp to discuss Harbinger, the new restaurant he’s collaborating on with restaurateur Jason Simon (of Alba and Eatery A). Tripp had just returned from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, where he traveled for five weeks for culinary inspiration.

During their conversation, Tripp received word that he is on the ballot for the James Beard Chef Awards for his past work at Alba. It’s his second consecutive year snagging the honor. Read Wini’s interview here, with Tripp’s revelations about things to come at Harbinger, which is scheduled to open in April in the Ingersoll Avenue building previously occupied by Bistro Montage.
