Q: What do you love most about Greater Des Moines?
A: Scott Long: I love the people of the greater Des Moines area. It is always nice to hear stories of how people end up in this area and fall in love with it and never leave. It’s a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Q: How did you get started in your career?
A: I had a friend that suggested I apply for a job as a Service Advisor. The next time there was an opening, I did just that. I was able to get an opportunity without any experience and since then, I have been gaining it every day.

Q: What do you love about your career?
A: It is always changing. Every day when I go into work it is unique and different from any other. It has been a great career as it has provided for my family and allowed me to move up with hard work and being lucky to have mentors that believed in me.

Q: What is a fact about yourself others may not know?
A: I am a lifelong Iowan. I was born on the western side of the state. During my college years, I left, but shortly after I knew I wanted to be back in Iowa and decided to move to the Des Moines area. I have had opportunities to relocate but I’m just not ready yet.
