Q: Tell us about your business.
A: K&V Homes is an award-winning custom home builder, serving the Des Moines metro. Every project is unique, as we take pride in building homes that complement individual homeowners’ style and vision. With 28 years in business, an open communication style and passion for quality, we look forward to every project as an opportunity to exceed expectations.
Q: What makes your business special?
A: Our business was started when two high school friends connected to put their college degrees and work experience together to build something of their own. Twenty-eight years later, it is still just Colin and Dean at the helm. We have kept our business afl oat during economic downturns and continue to build our small business year after year.
Q: How does your business contribute to the community?
A: K&V Homes has been involved in many charitable projects over the years including Project Dream Space, Habitat for Humanity, Make A Wish and Count the Kicks organizations. We donate to local youth sports, schools and food pantries. We also support the local HBA and organizations that encourage the next generation of tradespeople.
Q: What is unique or noteworthy about your team?
A: Our partnerships! Our framing crew, foundation company and window supplier have been with us since we started in 1997. Our fi replace, fl ooring, insulation and plumbing companies have been with us for 15+ years. Our custom cabinet company and tile installers are going on 10+ years. We work with the best in the business. These relationships have fostered an exceptional work environment and consistent product for our clients.
Q: What professional accomplishments are most meaningful to you?
A: We have been honored to win the BBB Integrity Award for our commitment to our values. In addition, we off er potential clients multiple pages of referrals and 5-star reviews. Knowing that our homeowners not only love their homes but would recommend our small business to their friends and family is incredibly rewarding. Our reputation in the community is something we are very proud of and do not take for granted.
